The Ben Kerrigan Trio is a high-octane rock fusion outfit from Bristol, delivering electrifying grooves and genre-defying energy. Blending the raw power of rock with the sophistication of modern jazz, the trio channels influences like Robben Ford, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra, and Tribal Tech to create a sound that is as technically masterful as it is viscerally thrilling. With the release of their second EP Slink, the group continues to carve out a bold new direction in the UK’s fusion scene.

At the helm is guitarist Ben Kerrigan, one of Bristol’s most exciting emerging voices on the instrument. Backed by his experience as a session musician, composer, and author, Ben brings a fearless mix of blues, classic rock, and ’80s-style fusion to the trio’s sound. Holding down the low end is Charlie Evans, a versatile bassist with an international performance history and training under Mike Mondesir and Rufus Philpot. On drums is Kerris McDonald, a powerhouse talent and cornerstone of the Bristol music scene, whose explosive yet nuanced playing draws from greats like Dennis Chambers and Vinnie Colaiuta. Together, the trio delivers performances that are tight, spontaneous, and fiercely musical—pushing the limits of what a modern fusion trio can be.
